Figuring what to do with this machine
I've been using this as a test bench, but I want to package it up and make something a bit easier to work with.
What I've already got to add to it:
- Cooler Master Elite 110 case
- Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO tower heatsink
What I want:
- more CPU: i7-8700 or i7-9700 (limited to 65W TDP by 100W supply)
- 32GB DDR4-2666 sodimm kit
- NVMe SSD
- Mini-PCIe USB 3.0 controller (for front panel USB)
I'd actually like a Silverstone SG13 case, but the Elite 110 ticks most of the boxes, and is only a little bulky.
Elite 110 mods needed:
- Replace PSU mount with a flat plate, 80mm fan mount, and maybe some vents
- Check state of current fan, replace with 140mm?
- Maybe leave the top HDD mount out for easier access
