Samsung HMX-R10 Camcorder

Description
The HMX-R10 is a nice compact pill-shaped 1080p camcorder. I got mine used for under $20.
Pros
- Clean HDMI out
- Good close-up focus, down to a few inches from subject
Cons
- Bad default settings: annoying chimes, goes into demo mode if left alone
- No audio out on HDMI (may be defect/damage to my unit, see Notes)
- Sensor is a bit noisy in dim light, but this is easy to mitigate
Meh
- Touchscreen only menus despite the little screen
Notes
- My unit has no audio out over HDMI. The manual indicates it should produce audio during playback. I don't know if my unit is defective/damaged as nothing else seems to be an issue.
