I have some ideas about sometimes tracking bike rides, maybe being able to remotely trigger things. I think having a repeater where I am would be nice too. I'm on a slight hilltop, and I still can't see any other nodes.
So far for hardware I have a Elecrow ThinkNode M6, Elecrow ThinkNode M3, and a bare Heltec v3.
Hardware setup
I have a solar powered node on a TV aerial, a bare PCB node as my local device, and a large-ish tracker tag node for taking around.
Configuration
The solar node has the CLIENT​_BASE role, the bare PCB will be CLIENT​_MUTE, and the tracker tag will have CLIENT role.
Channels settings are unclear. I need to read a bit more on primary channel choice implications.
I probably want precise location on the tracker on a private channel.
The stationary bare PCB will have remote admin capability for the solar node. I will probably turn bluetooth off on the solar node once I'm confident in that.
The nodes need names, probably some theme or common prefix. Working on it…
